The
MPB is on their way to Boise Idaho where Molly has been double billed
with the Moffatts. Though
the promoter was a bit confused and billed her as Millie Phipps, a 14
year old singer/song writer. Molly
isn't too thrilled about the idea of having to play for a bunch of 14
year old kids who have no idea who she is.
In the bus on the way to Boise, Molly, Jack, Irene, and Carey are
playing cards while Molly explains to them that “Millie Phipps” is
not who she is. Jack and
Carey are snickering at the
idea that the concert promoter billed her as “Millie Phipps”.
Irene explains to her that most of the kids there won't have
driver's licenses. They
will need someone to take them, so there are bound to be some adults in
the audience. Molly still wasn't too comforted by the idea.
As
Ned is driving, he notices a light a head of the bus.
He asks Fi who is sitting behind him if she sees the same strange
light as well. Fi looks out the window to see a ball of light in the
distance. Immediately she
is wary that this could be Will o' the Wisp.
“It couldn't be,” she mused to her self as she looks out the
bus window. Ned is so
focused on the ball of light, that he doesn't notice and runs right off
the road into a road sign. Everyone
is a bit shaken up. Ned
thinks that he's hit a motorcyclist, but Fi has a sneaking suspicion
that it's Will o' the Wisp coming back for Jack.
Everyone piles out of the bus to see what the damage was.
As Carey makes his way out of the bus, he is stopped by Fi.
She tells him that she's seen that ball of light before.
Carey thinks that they've hit a motorcyclist too and that she
knows them. Fi tells him
that it's not a motorcyclist. She
explains to him about Will o' the wisp and that he's come back.
Carey remembers that she told him about a ball of light that
possessed Jack's body. Carey
thinks she's just being overly imaginative and doesn't believe her.
Carey and Fi step out of the bus and Fi grabs Jack and pushes him
against the bus. She peers into his eyes looking to see if Will o' the Wisp
had a grasp on him again. Jack
thinks Fi has lost her wits and pushes her aside. Meanwhile Molly is
walking around the bus when she hears her name being called.
She notices a strange luminous light coming from underneath the
bus and bends down to see what it is.
When she looks under the bus there is a bright light and she
peers into it memorized by the inviting glow.
Carey wanders in the road and notices that down the road there is
a big piece of refuse from the bus.
He asks Ned if that is theirs.
It is a piece from their bus, and Ned tells Irene to call a local
garage for help. || Page 2 || |
